James wrote: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). Situations happen in our lives when we feel helpless and hopeless. We feel that we have no place to turn. But our Lord always encourages us to turn to him with all our needs and requests of body and soul. Not only can we pray for ourselves, but we are encouraged in Scriptures to ask others to pray on our behalf. A team of Calvary members are willing and ready to approach the throne of God and pray for your specific needs. Fill out the prayer request form below and let us be another voice to God on your behalf.
The grieving process at the loss of a loved one can be complicated. Many Christian mourners have found it helpful to have a funeral or memorial service for the loved one where family and friends can gather in a worship environment to be comforted with the Word, hymns, prayers, and testimonies. Our pastor is willing to plan and conduct such a service at our Calvary Church facility to ease the burden. A sample of what a service looks like is available for your review.
Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19). Calvary Church is willing to carry out the Lord’s great commission by offering to baptize anyone in our community who wishes to receive the forgiveness and power of baptism: adults, children, and infants. A 15-minute baptismal service is conducted by our pastor. The mode of baptism is pouring water on the head of the one baptized. A baptismal certificate is given to keep as a record of the momentous event. The baptism may be private with just family and friends present. Or, the baptism may take place in our regular Sunday morning worship service (10:00 am) so that all the members of Calvary may share in the joy of witnessing the baptism. Baptisms in homes are also available. Fill out the request for baptism at the link below and indicate the best date, time, and place for the Sacrament of Baptism to be performed.
